J-1 Terms & Conditions

By signing and submitting the application to Camping Management Corporation you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. The information submitted in the application MUST match exactly the information on your passport. You must fill out the application completely and it must be signed, dated, scanned and emailed to: elly@pineforestcamp.com.

  2. Inspect the DS 2019 form for accuracy and notify Camping Management Corp. if there are any errors.

  3. Pay the application and issuance fee of $270 ($135 visa sponsor fee, $100 insurance fee, $35 SEVIS fee) through a deduction in your contracted summer salary. Additional costs may be incurred for the processing of the J-1Visa application at the US Embassy. These additional fees and requirements vary by country and are your responsibility.

  4. Comply with all requirements for obtaining a J-1 visa. Please remember that the final decision on granting your visa is made by the U.S. Department of Immigration and Citizenship Exchange or the U.S. Consulate. It is not made by Camping Management Corp.

  5. Read through all information provided to you. You are responsible for making sure that the proper procedures are followed when entering and exiting the U.S.

  6. Work ONLY at the summer camp specified on your application. You will be entering the U.S. under the Exchange Visitor Program overseen by the U.S. Department of State. The J-1 visa allows you to work ONLY at the camp specified on your application. It is does NOT allow you to accept any other employment in the U.S.

  7. Comply with all visa regulations including departing the U.S. within 30 days after your employment end date and not attempt to return subsequently without complying with U.S. visa requirements.

  8. Conduct yourself at all times, while in the U.S., so as not to bring discredit to the camp at which you are employed.

  9. Honor the terms and conditions of your camp employment contract.

  10. Notify Camping Management Corp. immediately if you have been issued the DS 2019 form and you:
    1. Find errors in any information contained in the DS2019 form.
    2. Cancel your employment contract for any reason.
    3. Are denied a Visa by the U.S. Embassy or Consular Office.
    4. Are refused entry at the U.S. border.

  11. Understand that:
    1. Personal information submitted with this application will be used for the issuance of the DS 2019 form and may be disclosed to the camp director, referral agent, or any other source by which you received placement.

    2. Camping Management Corp. does not accept liability resulting from the decisions, actions or omissions of the camp director for the camp that employs you or any person acting on the camp's behalf.

CAMPING MANAGEMENT CORP. WILL PROVIDE:

  1. The DS 2019 forms which verifies your U.S. sponsorship.

  2. A receipt of payment for the $35 SEVIS fee.

  3. An instructional booklet outlining the procedures for obtaining a visa in your country.

  4. Medical insurance with coverage that exceeds the J-1 visa program guidelines. Payment for the medical insurance is included in the application fee. Coverage begins when you leave your country to travel to the US and ends when you arrive back at your home country or when you leave the continental U.S. without the signature of good standing or upon resignation or termination of your employment. Details about the precise nature of the health insurance coverage will be sent to you prior to camp.
